Somatic Integration

Somatic Integration for Ketamine and Psilocybin Experiences

Ketamine and psilocybin can open doors that years of talking couldn't. Integration is what keeps them open. I offer hands-on, body-based support before, during, and after your experience, so what opened up has a place to land.

Why the body

Your mind may understand. Your body needs its own way through.

A psychedelic experience can bring up emotion, memory, and sensation all at once. Afterward, many people feel lighter and more open, and then struggle to hold onto it as ordinary life returns. Others feel stirred up, raw, or unsure what to do with what came through.

Most integration support is talk-based. That helps, but much of what surfaces lives in the nervous system, not just the mind. Somatic integration works directly with the body, helping it settle, process, and build a new baseline that lasts.

My story

I've walked this path myself.

When I left my career in 2021, I fell into a deep depression. My identity had been wrapped up in my work, and I had been the breadwinner for my family. Suddenly that was gone. I was in talk therapy and understood in my head that I should be okay, but my body was telling me something very different. I was having panic attacks, and the medications I was on left me numb. At 40, I knew I didn't want to live the rest of my life that way.

Out of desperation, I tried a ketamine clinic: six sessions over three weeks. It woke me up out of the numbness. I felt an openness to love that I don't remember ever feeling so fully in my body. But between sessions, I had no one helping me work with what was coming up. About a month after finishing, I fell off a cliff. Everything that had opened closed again. Maintenance doses kept me functional, but I didn't want to depend on them forever.

Later, my husband and I spent seven days at a psilocybin retreat in Jamaica, with group therapy between each journey. It was life-changing, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. I left feeling like a new, lighter person. And everyone talked about integration, but I couldn't find a real path for what that meant or where to get support.

I was determined never to go back to that darkness, so I made integration my full-time job. Without quite meaning to, I found my way to the body: yoga, breathwork, movement, meditation. That body-mind-spirit connection became my new baseline, and it eventually led me to Shiatsu and this work.

I offer Somatic Integration because it's the support I wish I'd had.

Who it's for

This may be a fit if

  • You're about to begin ketamine therapy and want to feel grounded going in
  • You're in the middle of a ketamine series and want support between sessions
  • You've returned from a psilocybin journey or retreat and want the change to last
  • You felt a shift that faded, and you want to find your way back to it
  • Something stirred up that you're still carrying, and talking about it hasn't been enough

Your experience doesn't have to be recent. Many people come months or even years later.

Common questions

Before you reach out

Do you provide ketamine or psilocybin?

No. I don't provide, guide, or recommend sources for any substance. Somatic Integration is bodywork that supports you before, during, and after an experience you're having elsewhere.

Is this psychedelic therapy?

No. I'm a licensed massage therapist, Shiatsu practitioner, and Reiki Master, not a psychiatrist or therapist. This work complements the care you receive from your clinic, prescriber, or therapist. It doesn't replace it.

What happens in a session?

Sessions follow the same flow as a Somatic Session: a check-in, hands-on Shiatsu and Reiki, and time to notice what's moving. After each full session, you receive Your Five Element Map by email. If emotions or memories surface, I can guide you gently back into your body to work with them.

Should I tell my clinic or therapist?

Yes, please. Bodywork and talk therapy work well together, and your care team will appreciate knowing what support you have.
