Nervous System Talks and Workshops
Burnout spreads through a group the same way calm does: through tone, energy, and what people absorb from the people around them. It isn't a rough quarter or a tough semester. It's a pattern, and patterns can change.
Signs a group is running on empty
- Strong performers are disengaged, and the people you can least afford to lose are leaving
- Meetings feel flat, and mistakes are creeping up
- Conflict either explodes or gets buried, and feedback is met with defensiveness
- Leaders are absorbing everyone's stress, making rushed decisions, and feeling responsible for the group's energy while exhausted themselves
I spent years as a software CEO before burnout and health scares forced me to change course. I know this from the inside, and I teach practical, body-based tools that help people regulate under pressure, individually and together.
Talks, training, coaching, and workshops
Talks and Keynotes
For conferences, all-hands meetings, and offsites. In person or virtual.
Small Group Training
Hands-on training for groups of up to 20, in person or virtual. Larger groups and multi-session series are scoped individually.
Executive Coaching
One-on-one support for leaders learning to regulate themselves and, through that, their teams. In person or virtual.
Pebble in the Pond
A workshop for schools, PTOs, and community groups on coming back to center under stress, and how one person's regulation ripples out.
One regulated person changes the room.
Pebble in the Pond is built for groups who carry other people's stress all day: teachers, parents, caregivers, and the people who lead them. It covers three things:
- Know yourself. Understand your body and your stress patterns through the lens of the Five Elements.
- Come back to center. Learn what stress, fear, anger, and anxiety are telling you, and simple body-based ways to regulate before you react.
- Your radius. See how your regulation shapes the people around you, at home, at school, and at work.
It works well for staff wellness days, PTO meetings, moms' groups, church and community groups, and library or park district programs. Teachers, see also For Educators.
